    Keg Brand Quality

I' about to purchase some 1/6 kegs and was wondering if there is any difference in quality depending on the brand. Any recommendations on where to buy them from?

    Dan,

There is absolutely a difference in the quality from each brand. We are based in TN for US Operations and have been making kegs in Germany for more than 50 years. When asked, I tell people to that the quality raw materials and manufacturing methods are what stands out. From the quality materials, we only buy strong steel from Finland and Belgium. Performing an elemental analysis of the steel, you will get an even distribution of all elements, thus not leading to deficiencies in the steel that could cause failure in the future. From a manufacturing side, we have quite a few selling points that put us at the forefront of quality.
    - Double-welded necks for strength - Only manufacturer in the industry
    - Chime decision for increased shoulder protection on the weakest part of the keg body
    - Precision welding: Tig vs. Mag welding - stronger bond and let susceptible to cracking and leaves the finish spatter free
    - Burst disc integration - safety device at the bottom of every keg
