Objective
This position manages the brewhouse team to effectively and efficiently execute a wort production.
Essential Responsibilities
•Mastery of operator, technician ad specialist level tasks.
•Checks mill parallel and belts; adjusts or replaces if needed.
•Creates and adjusts production runs and PO’s in OBeer.
•Replaces pump seals, stators and diaphragms. Knows the location of all brewhouse breaks and VFD’s.
•Manages brewer staff and ensures tasks are complete and protocol is followed.
•Services and repairs grain conveyance system; including auger removal, PVC replacement and motor repair.
•Assists, as needed, in the lab or cellar; yeast counts, CIP/SIP tanks, yeast harvest, dry-hopping.
•Completes special projects, including maintenance, recycling, safety and locating and improving ay brewhouse inefficiencies.
•Maintains up to date standard operating procedures, logs, and safety information.
•Ensures team is compliant with company polices and safety guidelines.
•Handles inventory control and ordering.
Additional Responsibilities
•Interviews and hires new staff for department.
•Leads training of new hires and staff.
•Handles crew scheduling and timecards.
•Performs other related duties as required or assigned.

Physical & Mental Requirements
Must have the physical and mental strength and endurance to be able to perform duties, in at times extreme environments, as well as the ability to handle stressors of the position in operational and administrative situations. Required to frequently lift and move 10-75 pounds. Expected to stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, talk, hear, taste, smell, see, and operate objects, tools, and controls.
