Lead Brewer
This position encompasses high standard practices with brewing and production management. To perform the job successfully, the Lead Brewer must be able to perform the essential duties listed below. The most important trait of the position is the drive to succeed as a conscientious team leader to further develop the charismatic and professional culture at Butcherknife Brewing.

Responsibilities and duties:

• Understands and represents The Company's Mission and Vision Statements.
• Highly knowledgeable of microbiology of brewing.
• Strong Excel skills, Microsoft Word, and Powerpoint Skills
• Familiar with brewing software such as BeerSmith and Ekos
• Fulfills the demand for sales.
• Manages the raw materials and inventory of finished goods.
• Must be able to left 55 pound bags with no issues.
• Must be timely, keen to detail, and well dressed.
• Understands SOPS with cleaning chemicals for CIP procedures.
• Must be knowledgeable to TTB guidelines.
• Great communication skills to lead a team. A sense of humor is a must.
• Collaborates with sales, marketing, and laboratory teams to allow the best possible flow of business operations.
• Creative skills are needed for designing new recipes in conjunction with the Master Brewer.

Requirements
A degree brewing science or five years of professional brewing experience is accompanied with a four year bachelor degree is desired, but not a must. Solid experience with great communication skills is as equal. A degree in Chemistry and/or Microbiology is highly desired. Loves winter sports and mountain living!
