Packaging Manager
Brass Foundry Brewing Company is looking to hire a Packaging Manager. We are looking for someone to head up our packaging operations, which would include operating and maintaining our Canning Line/Keg Filler/Washer. The ideal individual would be mechanically inclined, experience operating/maintaining Canning Lines/Keg Systems and have a high standard for quality. The position would be working in tandem with the brewing team as well as cellar staff, also would be managing a small packaging team. This role would be a full-time position with health insurance option/vacation/beer to take home.
Duties:
Packaging:
Perform all tasks related to packaging including but not limited to full operation and maintenance of A.B.E. LinCan 65 canning line/IDD Squire Plus 2 Keg Washer Filler, scheduling and quality control.
Inventory Management:
Assist with all inventory of finished product, cans, kegs and other miscellaneous packaging materials for canning and kegging.
Maintenance:
Assist in developing a SOP for canning line/keg filler and washer. Scheduling daily, weekly, monthly and annually cleaning and maintenance of Canning Line/Keg filler.
Ideal Experience/Skills:
Strong mechanical background
Prior experience operating/maintaining Canning lines/Keg Systems
Forklift experience/certification
Ekos software experience or similar brewery operating software
Passionate about packaging and maintaining the highest quality standards
Warehouse Experience
Attention to detail
Ability to keep detailed records
Handling and disposing of hazardous materials properly.
Ability to operate fluently within a team as well as managing a team.
Must be able to fulfill physical requirements of operating a canning line and keg filler/washer (lifting 50lbs to 180lbs, cleaning, climbing ladders, standing for long periods of time, etc.)
