  • pneumatic valve actuators

I'm looking for a good single-action, spring-return air valve actuator for our butterfly valves. The ones that originally came with our Newlands brewhouse can't be repaired once they start leaking (at least, I don't see a way). What are you guys using?

We bought ours through Nether Ind. They don't seem to be rebuildable, either. The butterfly valve is rebuildable, but not the cylinder. Butterfly valve seats are $35 each, so as they wear out, I'll be swapping the valves out for Tassalini, with $12 seats.

      I'd check Burkert....

They have the best pneumatic action valves I have used, but can't say a model that might work for your application without more details.

Yeah, I like Burkert valves on our keg washer. We have a bunch of these air canister actuators that mount on top of a standard butterfly valve stem, like a Tassalini or Defonix valve. The canister is welded together so you can't easily replace any seals when they start leaking.
