The bartender's number one responsibility is to provide great service to our guests through product knowledge, guest engagement, smooth operations and facility cleanliness. Bartenders are paid by the hour, report to and are evaluated by the General Manager and will be given initial and ongoing training.
• Understand and promote the cooperative model of the Marquette Brewing Cooperative / Drifa Brewing
• Be prepared and presentable to work at the designated start time
• Learn the craft beer styles (BJCP), the production process and stay abreast of new products and trends in the industry
• Greet guests upon arrival, create a welcoming environment for all and assist guests in making beverage and merchandise choices
• Accurately take beverage and merchandise orders using the POS system
• Ensure all transactions are accurate and follow the company’s cash handling policy at all times
• Pour and serve beverages at the bar, beer garden or festival as required
• Bus tables and bar, wash glasses and mugs
• Change kegs when needed
• Maintain a clean, orderly and functional bar environment and facility
• Keep supplies stocked in the bar and bathrooms
• Follow opening and closing duties as required
• Follow all laws, rules, regulations and company policies regarding the serving of alcoholic beverages
• Work as a positive production member of the Drifa team
• Keep immediate supervisor informed of any issues
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements / Qualifications
• Previous work experience as a waiter or bartender preferred
• Prior POS experience preferred
• Knowledge and appreciation of craft beer preferred
• Basic math and money handling skills required
• Must be able to be on your feet for the duration of your shift
• Work days, nights or weekends as required
• Must be able to multi-task in a noisy and fast-paced, distraction-filled environment
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must be able to communicate in English (read, write and speak)
• Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, reach, climb and carry up to 55 pounds
