Head Brewer
Job Description
No-Li Brewhouse is seeking a passionate brewer to joining our No-Li production team. No-LI Brewhouse is an internationally award-winning brewery located in up and coming Spokane, WA. No-Li produces 16,000+BBLs/year. No-Li has recently embarked on a new shift in culture and brewing portfolio. We are looking for a person who will bring energy and leadership to the brewery.
BREWER POSITION SUMMARY
Our ideal candidate above all holds the No-Li value of a can-do attitude coupled with an imaginative spark for new and exciting beers. A deep passion for producing consistently high-quality beer should be shown through a brewers daily activities, utilizing a great work ethic, a positive attitude and a desire to teach and learn new processes with the production team. No-Li is a people driven organization with a continuous self-improving philosophy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Brewing on our two and/or three vessel, 30-barrel brewhouses
Performing cellar operations including monitoring gravities and fermentation temperatures
Yeast handling/propagation
CIP (brew house, fermenters, brite tanks)
DE filtration of most beers for packaging
Utilization of sanitary technique to upkeep a 1000 bbl production per month brewery
Communication with both production team and production management is a key asset
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
Two years of proven brewing or filter experience, on at least a 10 bbl system
Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing work environment
Willingness to work a flexible schedule including occasional weekends as well as rotating first and second shifts for double brews.
Ability to maintain a clean work environment.
Lab experience is a plus.
Physical requirements: Must be able to bend over, twist, kneel, stand for the duration of a shift, lift 55 pounds, and maneuver 300 pounds repeatedly. Requires proper handling of hazardous materials and operation of complex machinery.
Experience operating a forklift.
Must possess excellent communication skills.
Brewing education is a BIG plus
COMPENSATION
Starting pay is based on experience. No-Li pays at or above industry medians for all positions. Health insurance, dental insurance, vision, 401k coverage, vacation and sick pay are standard for all Production members
