So we just got a bunch of prickly pears and was wanting to make a Prickly Pear IPA. I know most folks go with puree's, but we have 140lbs of it - locally sourced.
Has anyone brewed with Prickly Pear whole fruit? If so, what's the best way to get 140lbs of it into a 8 bbl batch? Mash? Boil? Or add the fruit at secondary?
