Herald Street Brew Works is seeking applications for our Head Brewer position.
HSBW is a small batch brewery that will operate a 178-occupancy lounge in the Old Town neighbourhood of Victoria BC Canada. We are seeking a Head Brewer to run our 12HL Specific Mechanical brewhouse along with 8x12HL fermentation vessels and 10x12HL serving tanks.
Duties will include all aspects of production: recipe development, wort production, cellaring, ingredient management, cleaning, scheduling, and everything else that goes along with running a small brewery with a small team.
You must be detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, have a passion for quality and a commitment to continuous improvement. You may be asked to sling beers on occasion for our customers and answer questions on the beer so the ability to hold a conversation is a bonus.
HSBW is an open concept brewery where patrons will be able to see the brewery floor during hours of operation so a penchant for cleanliness is a must.
