    Job Description –Cellar Person / Assistant Brewer

    The Brewery Tin Roof Brewing Co. is a craft brewery and taproom located between Louisiana State University and downtown Baton Rouge, LA. We operate a 2 vessel, 30bbl brewhouse and produce about 6,000bbl a year of packaged cans and draft.
    Our ideal candidate has prior production brewery experience, but a solid knowledge of the brewing process and a good attitude go a long way.

    Responsibilities and Duties • Tracking and processing fermenting beer.
    • Monitoring fermentation, yeast handling, dry hopping, fruit additions, transfers, etc.
    • Maintaining Standard control checks throughout the brewing, cellaring and packaging process.
    • Assisting in wort production, boiling, whirlpool, knockout, grain out, transfer, inventory control and general maintenance.
    • CIP/COP of brewhouse, fermenters, barrels, bright tanks, transfer packaging equipment and cooperage.
    • Adhering to brewery standards of operation, quality and safety standards.
    • Performing additional cellar and brewhouse tasks as required.
    • Maintaining process and inventory records in ekos brewmaster.
    • Representing the brewery at events and festivals as occasionally needed.

    Qualifications and Skills
    • Flexible work schedule, PM brew shifts and some evenings and weekends. • Passionate about craft beer and the craft brewing industry • Production brewing experience and fermentation education are preferred • Strong record keeping and time management skills. • Ability to follow detailed instructions (verbal and written) and work independently • Ability to lift 55 lbs repeatedly • Ability to maneuver up to 175 lbs.
