Job Description –Cellar Person / Assistant Brewer
The Brewery Tin Roof Brewing Co. is a craft brewery and taproom located between Louisiana State University and downtown Baton Rouge, LA. We operate a 2 vessel, 30 bbl brewhouse and produce about 6,000 bbl a year of packaged cans and draft.
This is a part-time position joining our packaging team in canning and kegging tasters. Our ideal candidate has some prior production experience, but eager to learn and a good attitude go a long way.
Responsibilities and Duties • Providing operational support on our canning line.
• Filling and cleaning kegs.
• Follow Standard Operation Procedures as dictated by TRBC.
• Bring a team-oriented attitude when working with other brewery staff, front of the house staff.
• Adhering to brewery standards of operation, quality and safety standards.
• Basic record-keeping.
• Close attention to detail and be self-sufficient while working.
• Representing the brewery at events and festivals as occasionally needed.
• Reports to head brewer.
Qualifications and Skills
• Flexible work schedule. • Passionate about craft beer and the craft brewing industry • Strong record keeping and time management skills. • Ability to follow detailed instructions (verbal and written) and work independently • Ability to lift 55 lbs repeatedly • Ability to maneuver up to 175 lbs.
