River Horse Brewing Co. is a regional production brewery located in Ewing, New Jersey. We are looking to add the right brewer to our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for making great consistent beer as well as a desire to create new recipes for both our tasting room and for production.
Responsibilities:
Oversight of the brewing staff
Responsible for brewing/cellar reports and logs
Inventory of raw materials
Rotational morning and afternoon shift work covering:
Wort production on a 25 BBL brewhouse
All cellar duties including filtration
Packaging duties including bottling line, canning line and kegging as needed
Participation in beer events including festivals, beer dinners, tap takeovers, etc.
Abilities:
Ability to work a flexible rotating schedule, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
Comfortable working in confined spaces, lifting 55 pounds and moving up to 165 pounds.
Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks and hand trucks
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Must be able to stand for 8-10 hours per day
Excellent record keeping ability
Must be competent with MS Office
Reliable transportation to brewery as well as events
Experience:
1 to 2 years of brewing experience in a production facility or large brew pub
Packaging line experience
Brewing education is preferred
