    About the Grand Delancey

The Grand Delancey will be located inside The Market Line, an expansive, bazaar-like marketplace running three city blocks on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. Beer Director and Partner Greg Engert will lead The Grand Delancey’s beer program and will showcase the very best of the local scene alongside offerings from the most exciting domestic and international producers. With plans to rotate over 1,200 different beers annually through a state-of-the-art, 50 tap draft system, along with multiple cask ales and a focused reserve bottle offering, The Grand Delancey will also feature a wide array of specialized glassware, as well as a multi-temperature draft system, allowing all beers to be served at the appropriate temperature.

To complement its unparalleled beer program, guests of The Grand Delancey will be able to order select offerings from the dozens of local vendors joining The Market Line, providing an unmatched opportunity for beer and food pairing across a vast array of cuisines. Guests can expect a unique beer experience at The Market Line–one that is sure to make the bar a destination for beer lovers across the U.S.

    Job Specifications

Competitive candidates will have extensive experience and proven success in leadership roles at establishments with compelling beverage programs. They will be expert in managing costs, hiring and coaching employees, and providing excellent service, but we need more than just experience. We are seeking a hospitality expert who embodies the ownership mentality and exudes an infectious sense of hospitality. Our ideal candidate is curious, driven, and inspired on a daily basis by the fast-paced business we work in and the creative people we’re lucky to call colleagues.

One hallmark of our beer programs is innovative and extensive programming. From tap takeovers and exclusive releases to pairing and seasonal events, the GM will be the chief driver and creative force behind The Grand Delancey’s dynamic programming.

While The Grand Delancey will not have its own kitchen, its guests will have access to a curated menu of Market Line vendor menu items, served by Grand Delancey service staff. As an extension of their duties at The Grand Delancey, the General Manager will also have oversight of a small chef-driven food stall in the Market Line, scheduled to open this summer.
