Tired Hands Brewing Company is looking for a qualified person to join our brewery team as a Packaging Technician. The Packaging Technician will work with the Fermentaria’s production team to produce strange and beautiful beer. The main responsibilities of the Packaging Technician are to carry out all processes related to packaging beer (primarily in kegs and cans). This includes maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of the packaging area, and the equipment therein (brite beer tanks, kegs, canning equipment, pumps, etc). Other tasks within the position involve lifting, moving, pulling, pushing and tapping 35lb+ cases of bottles and cans, moving full kegs onto and off of pallets, operating a forklift, climbing ladders, working with chemicals, and working in a team environment. Members of the Production team should have a generally positive attitude and keep an immaculately clean work space. Production team members should expect between 35-55 hours of work a week.
Duties and Responsibilities
Following proper SOPs in all aspects of production
Efficiently packaging beer in all formats (Keg, Can, Bottle, et al)
Attention to detail in all aspects of work
Cleaning draft lines
Conducting keg cleaning operations
Running CIP cycles on brite beer tanks
Cleaning any and all exterior surfaces in the brewery (outsides of tanks, kegs, canning line, etc)
Occasionally assisting in processing fruits and spices
Occasionally assisting with shipping and receiving work (using a forklift or pallet jack, organizing loading bay, warehousing raw materials)
Assisting all Production Team members in their roles whenever possible
Participating in Team Meetings
Adhering to all safety protocols set in place by Tired Hands Brewing Company
Abilities and Skills

Able to kneel, stoop, and work in tight spaces
Able to retain confidential company knowledge
Able to function in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment
Able to learn new skills and follow instructions consistently

Able to lift up 165 lb in a group lift

Required Minimum Qualifications
Be at least 21 years of age
High School Degree
One or more years working production in a similar craft beverage industry
Valid driver’s license with no restrictions
Able to lift 35lbs; able to move 55lbs using tools such as a hand truck or a forklift.
Able to kneel and stoop occasionally.
Able to stand and work for up to 12 hours at a time
Desired Qualifications
One or more years of brewery, warehouse, or food processing experience
Forklift certifications and aptitude
