    Figueroa Mountain Brewing Company, an award winning, family-owned brewery, is looking to add a Brewer to our team!

    Figueroa Mountain Brewing Co currently crafts beers at 3 brewpubs in central and southern CA as well as a 15bbl small-batch and 60bbl production brewhouse in Buellton, CA, nestled in the Santa Ynez Valley (home to some of the best wines and food in central CA). We have a core lineup of 8 beers (ranging from Double IPAs to American Lagers), and annually produce up to 50 specialty beers and a strong showing of seasonals as well. Our beers are available in market in can, bottle, and draught, all being produced out of the Buellton brewery

    The Brew Crew is dedicated to quality, efficiency and innovation - and we want someone to join us in our mission of creating the highest quality, most delicious beers possible!

 Our brewers work collectively in a shift rotation and are responsible for all aspects of the brewing process including brewing, fermentation, cellaring, finishing, sensory evaluation, and general lab work associated with our QA/QC standards of production. The role requires an enthusiastic, teamwork-oriented, responsible, and self-motivated individual with a passion for craft beer and a desire to continue learning and growing within the industry.

    Essential Functions:
    Maintain a safe working environment, following all safety protocols and SOPs
    Brewing on 60bbl, 4-vessel brewhouse as well as 15bbl small-batch system
    Operation of Velo DE Filter
    Fermentor and Brite Tank CIP
    Cellar monitoring, yeast handling and pitching
    Cellar duties, including general lab work and associated tasks
    Maintain a clean, sanitary and organized work environment
    Proper documentation of all tasks performed

    *Must be a team player
    *Passion for independent, quality craft beer and our industry is a must
    *Educational background in brewing or related sciences preferred
    *6 mo professional brewing experience preferred, working in production brewery
    *Forklift and equipment operation experience is highly desired
    *Mechanical aptitude, basic problem solving and math skills
    *Sensory evaluation experience, BJCP/Cicerone certifications are preferred
    *Flexibility, a positive attitude and a strong work ethic
    *Ability to work on feet for 8+ hours, repeatedly lift up to 55lbs on a consistent basis
    *Flexibility in shift rotation is required (1st, 2nd, 3rd and occasional weekend shifts)
