About the Brewery: Boom Island is an equal opportunity employer looking for an experienced part time taproom manger.
Boom Island Brewing Company is a Belgian inspired Brewery and Tap Room founded in 2011 in Minneapolis, MN. We recently moved to our new location In Minnetonka and business is great. We need a Taproom Manager to help fuel our growth.
Primary responsibilities:
Interviews, hires, and schedules servers
Collect, count, and verify all amounts of money from taproom for bank deposits, processed credit cards, and end of day reports
Schedules bands
Manages food truck schedule, catering (for special events)
Manages private room rentals
Works with marketing and management to develop and manage weekly Taproom activities and special events
Creates and maintains relationships with outside vendors including suppliers and local food establishments that deliver to the taproom
Evaluate and assist staff in achieving guest service and performance goals; communicating job expectations and holding staff accountable for meeting expectations
Orders taproom supplies (snack foods and non-alcoholic beverages, paper goods, cleaning supplies, etc).
Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy facility environment by establishing, following and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; complying with health and legal regulations
Maintains a pleasant, clean, and well-organized taproom and patio environment (temperature, music, cleanliness, conduct)
Evaluate usage reports
Steps in as beer tender, busing taproom and cleaning as needed
Qualifications:
Knowledge and appreciation of craft beers
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Able to work flexible hours, days, evenings, and weekends as needed
Over 21 years of age
Must have reliable transportation and maintain a valid driver’s license
Background check may be requested
