  • Help with Jinri 12-head filler

We are having problems with a 12-head Jinri rotary filler and are not getting the support we require from China. Does anyone in Forumland have experience with one of these machines and were you ever able to make it work?

Specifically, we have a few heads that will not fill, a few heads that partially fill, and a few heads that foam despite constant rebuilds. We are also having problems with fill tubes working themselves loose after only 2-3 bowl rotations. The jetter and some other crucial components have never worked even during commissioning the machine. We were given no spare gaskets or O-rings and are looking to source these from North America.

    Any help appreciated.

Your are experiencing the major pitfalls of ALL Chinese gear. Your best hope is to find a " Technician " who speaks English, and who has experience working on these machines in the field.
if you can locate this person you will then have to sort out the logistics to get him into your plant which will of course cost a Kings ransom. He will be able to help you source parts if the entity is still running their game. If you cannot source OEM parts, and service knowledge you are backed into corner in a fight that likely cannot be won, because there will most likely not be any substitutes for both the skill and the parts needed. With vrey few exceptions, Chinese Engineering is the worst on the planet and it always has an " early " failure rate and high parts consumption ALL THE TIME. A Crackerjack Tech from the USA may be able to help you out, but the road may be difficult, and impossible to get down. The matter of parts and design sequence of operation is at the core of the matter. The other thing the chinese are notorious for is excessively BAD electronics, and the worst bearings in the known universe.
They are a society that has been funded in large measure by corrupt politicians that sold out the western countries in the process. Moving MFG. to China or anywhere else always undermines your own nation. There is no logical escape from this one simple fact. There are a few reliable products that come from that corner of the world, but not very many.

What style of bottler is it? Is it a counter-pressure filler? If so, the no-fills can usually be attributed to the bottle seals, which, unfortunately, are most likely proprietary.

For the "fill tubes" (leveling tubes?) falling off, get them good and clean and dry and use some LocTite 542 thread sealer/locker on the threads. Should do the trick.

O-rings can be sourced easily and cheaply, as can any common gasket. Here's hoping the manufacturer used off-the-shelf parts as much as possible.
