Vanish Farmwoods Brewery is a popular destination for beer lovers. They've twice voted us best brewery in Loudoun County. As a result we are looking to add a member to our brewery team. Candidates should be physically capable of the usual brewery stuff in a 10 barrel manual brewery, you know-- lifting, squatting, moving kegs, and shoveling hot mashes. But most importantly, you must love making beer. I mean really love the process, even more than the product itself. Experience is preferred, though we are willing to train the right candidate who may have little or no professional experience. But preference will be given to those who are real students of the industry. Book Nerds, Beer Geeks, Podcast Listeners, we want you.
Vanish's menu ranges a broad perspective. From NEIPAs and dry hopped lagers to "on point" classics. We have a barrel program featuring mixed culture beers, as well as a fledgling mead and cider program. We welcome fresh ideas. We welcome avid homebrewers and enthusiasts. But you must be able to work on a team, and eventually with little or no supervision. This position will be responsible for all aspects of brewing, and all responsibilities are shared. From recipe design and brewing to washing kegs and cleaning draft lines, we do it all. We also have a fledgling cider making operation with 150 tree orchard. This position will start as line level, but has the potential to become upper management for the right person.
