Position: Brewer/cellarman in Lafayette (Boulder County) Colorado
Reports to: Head brewer
Rate: Based on experience
Odd13 has a great work environment for an enthusiastic, hardworking individual. Experience in a commercial brewery is required, with extra preference given to experience in a packaging brewery. Variable shift schedule (nights and weekends possible) depending on production needs. We are looking for someone who adheres to and advances a working culture with safety in mind. Responsibilities
- All aspects of wort production on a 30 BBL brewhouse
- Following all SOPs set forth by Odd13 Brewing
- Handle all phases of cellaring, fermentation, and packaging.
- Cleaning and sanitation. Tanks, kegs, brewhouse, and floors.
- Monitor and record process times, DOs, gravities, pH levels and temperatures
- Managing transfers of finished beer and adequate carbonation
- Harvesting, cell counting, and re pitching of yeast
- Cleaning and filling kegs
- All aspects of canning sessions on our Wild Goose canning line
- Driving a forklift to receive and load trucks as necessary
- Routine troubleshooting and maintenance
- Following established safety procedures
Job Requirements
- Ability to lift 55 lbs to shoulder height repeatedly
- Must be able to lift/move 150 lbs occasionally
- Ability to stand for long periods (8-10 hour shifts)
- Experience operating a Wild Goose canning line is a plus
- Experience with sour beers and mixed fermentations is a plus
- Basic computer skills
