    DESCRIPTION:

    First ever brewpub coming to Nederland, Texas, focusing on top notch, locally handcrafted beers and pizza. This General Manager position is responsible for the overall daily operation, guest satisfaction, and profitability of the taproom.

    Employment Type: Full-Time
    Salary: $50,000+, based on experience

    Minimum Experience: 3-5 Years in high-volume restaurant management

    ABOUT YOU

    A minimum of 3-5 years restaurant management experience is essential.
    Your position requires you to spend over 95% of every shift on the floor with your team, in addition to traditional job duties.
    Experience of successfully running an extremely high-volume all-day food and beverage outlet.
    100% ability to manage every aspect of a high-volume flagship operation
    (finance, ordering, coaching, marketing, HR operations, etc).

    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    Oversees regular taproom inspections for maintenance requirements and submits maintenance requests or performs the repair.
    Ensures standard of cleanliness of the taproom and appearance of staff.
    Manages staff queries and problems.
    Performs recruiting duties and assists in on-boarding of new hires.
    Confirms the scheduling standards and practices are being met for all employee schedules.
    Maintains strict security standards to avoid theft or damage.
    Provides supervision of all positions at the location.
    Oversees daily Front of the House and Back of the House taproom operations.
    Ensures that superior service is offered to all guests and is a priority of all taproom managers and employees.
    Confirms the taproom is adequately and properly stocked with the appropriate beverage levels.
    Responds to all guest complaints and works to proactively resolve them within company procedures and guidelines.
    Ensures the proper standards are followed for restaurant set up, including opening and closing procedures and hourly staff side work procedures.
    Supervises settlement of customer purchases in accordance to company policies and procedures.
    Monitors feedback at the end of each shift, including the communication from staff in the daily notes.
    Performs daily accounting and cash control including invoice coding and approval.
    Orders, receives, codes, and stocks all beverages, goods and services, and performs daily cost tracking.
    Manages and participates in weekly and monthly inventory.
    Plans and conducts daily/monthly staff meetings.
    Ensures the manager office premises and building premises are appropriately and adequately secured and locked during and at the end of shifts.
    Works effectively with marketing team to promote all events
    Coordinates with outside resources to promote taproom business.
    Schedules and staffs all brewery tours.
    Ensures that staff receives continual training necessary for job competence, including use of the POS system, brewery tours, beer knowledge.
    Coordinates daily meetings with staff to discuss and inform on happenings in the taproom.
    Adheres to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs.
    Delivers the targeted financial return.
    Ensures that all financial and payroll related duties are completed accurately, on time, and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
    Ensures compliance with operational standards, company policies, and
    Federal/State/Local laws.

    Estimates food and beverage costs, forecasts sales and profits.
    Responds to complaints and takes appropriate action to ensure guest satisfaction.
    Interviews hourly employees, conducts orientation when needed and plays a vital role in training new managers.
    Responsible for designated schedules assigned by the General Manager.
    Ensures restaurant food quality through completion of line checks.
    Sets a good example of the company dress code and appearance standards, ensuring that your team fully complies with all expectations.
    Enforces all alcohol and food licensing and regulations.
    Enforces sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of cinema.
    Hire, develop and nurture employee talent to reduce turnover.
