Darwin Brewing Co. a family owned brewery located in Bradenton Florida is looking for a Brewmaster who has considerable experience, excellent references, a strong work ethic, positive attitude and a passion for his/her craft beers. The Brewmaster will be responsible for all production activities.
Qualifications:
*Minimum of 2 years of professional brewing experience.
*Must have reliable transportation
*Attention to detail, ability to work unsupervised while maintaining safety and quality standards, and confidence to speak up and act when safety and quality are compromised.*.
*Must be a team player
*Passion for independent, quality craft beer and our industry is a must
*Educational background in brewing or related sciences preferred
*Mechanical aptitude, basic problem solving and math skills
*Sensory evaluation experience, BJCP/Cicerone certifications are preferred
*Flexibility, a positive attitude and a strong work ethic
*Ability to work on feet for 8+ hours, repeatedly lift up to 55lbs on a consistent basis
Essential Functions:
Maintain a safe working environment, following all safety protocols and SOPs
Brewing on 15bbl, Combi system brewhouse as well as 12 gal small-batch system
Operation of 40x40 Letina Plate Filter.
Fermenter and Brite Tank CIP
Cellar monitoring, yeast handling and pitching
Cellar duties, including general lab work and associated tasks
Packaging includes operation of Keg washer, Wild Goose canning line, pasteurizer, and kegging the beers to fulfill orders.
Maintain a clean, sanitary and organized work environment.
Proper documentation and records of all tasks performed.
Physical Demands:
The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 55 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
