Turnagain Brewing is seeking an experienced brewer to head the production side of our family-run brewery/taproom in Anchorage, Alaska. The head brewer will work with and be assisted by one to two part-time assistants, as needed. Though we make a range of styles, we specialize in Belgian and sour beers, and we have a unique subdivided facility with dedicated space and equipment for our flagship mixed-fermentation sour products. Duties will be almost exclusively during the standard work week with most deliveries, taptending, festivals, and tours optional. Ownership will assume most evening/weekend duties. Duty hours are conducive to active/family lifestyle, and plenty of time will be available to enjoy all Alaska has to offer! Starting salary will be well above national average, and there are no sales or state income taxes in our area. Production is on our 2-vessel Premier Stainless 10 barrel system with manual grain-out, and packaging is on one of our 3 bottling lines. We do not can, filter, or centrifuge. We are an Ekos subscriber, and competency with the software is required. This position is ideal for a brewer with creative and innovative passion and the skills/desire to manage a production facility.
