Brewing Reserve of California is looking for an enthusiastic, creative, and friendly cellar person in Costa Mesa, CA. We are a 5 bbl brewery with a tasting room. The position is full time, though part time will be considered for the right candidate that is not available for full time hours.
Job Responsibilities Include:
Maintaining inventory: Receiving, organizing, managing, of chemicals, raw goods, and packaged kegs
Cleaning: CIP of fermenters, brite tanks, brewhouse following brews
Transfers: Sanitize and purge brite tanks, and transfer beers
Packaging: Carbonate transferred beer, package into kegs, maintain record of yields
Keg washing: Maintain keg washer and ensure all kegs are washed prior to packaging
Record keeping: keep regular record of gravities, carbonation, variant brinks, and dry hops
Brew prep: prepare grain bags ahead of brew days, opening bags and weighing specialty grains
Festivals: Help prep and work festivals and beer events
General: Assist with milling, general cleaning, assisting brewers and tasting room with daily tasks, etc.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Ability to move kegs and grain bags (~55lbs minimum)
1+ years of Alcohol Experience: Homebrewing, tasting room work, bartending, sales/distribution
Independence and self-management. You know what needs to get done and you do it, without need for specific instructions
Not hesitant to get dirty, wet, and to be on your feet for long periods
