Established Maryland Brewer looking for Head brewer and Assistant. Responsibilities include all aspects of brewery production, meeting deadlines, quality control and time management. Additional consideration include a superior mechanical aptitude, some supervisory qualifications needed. Formal brewery education is a bonus and a creativity is an absolute must in todays competitive market
EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED:
A Bachelor of Science degree, equivalent or graduation from an accredited Brewer Training Institution.
Ideally 3-5+ years of experience needed in production and canning
Strong communication skills.
Open-mindedness to new ideas and problem-solving.
Ability to manage, train, and motivate others.
Necessary to work under pressure and constantly adapt to changing demands of a growing brewery.
Be able to host occasional visiting clients and conduct tours.
Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
Ability to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
Enthusiasm and strong personal knowledge of the brewing industry and market.
Ability to interact effectively at all levels within the organization.
Ability to multi-task and be flexible.
Ability to occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 170 pounds.
Tolerate hot, wet and loud conditions of the brewery and work in a fast-paced & demanding environment.
Highly energetic, positive attitude.
Ability to have FUN and remain positive in demanding situations.
