We are looking for a head brewer in Austin, Texas to brew on a new 10 bbl system.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
• 3+ years of brewing experience
• Strong mechanical background
• Willingness to work at a fast pace, yet be precise in your daily tasks
• Yeast Handling proficiency
• STRONG cleaning/sanitizing background
• STRONG communication skills
• Strong work ethic and be able to work within a team AND independently with a great attitude
• FULL AVAILABILITY THROUGHOUT THE WEEK.
• Desire to learn
• Appreciation of fine beer
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Ability to lift 55# grain bags to shoulder repeatedly and up to 75# using traditional methods
• Ability to be frequently exposed to wet conditions and work in extreme cold and heat
• Frequently exposed to strong and sometimes disagreeable odors and occasionally exposed to caustic chemicals
• Ability to work near moving mechanical parts
