Steelhead Brewery & Cafe/McKenzie Brewing Company, in Eugene, Oregon, established in 1991 is seeking a qualified brewer/assistant to help move the company forward into 2020.
Responsibilities:
-Assist in wort production
-Cellaring duties (transfer finished product, carbonation, CIP, filtration, maintaining brew logs and controls)
-Cleaning (brewhouse, CIP, etc.)
-Strict adherence to SOP's
-Represent Steelhead/McKenzie Brewing in various festivals and events when necesary
-Fork lift operation (can be trained)
-Maintain clean and orderly inventory
-grain milling
-assist in canning/bottling
Qualifications:
-minimum 2 years experience working in a commercial brewing environment
-ability to lift 55 pounds to shoulder height repeatedly
-ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crawl, crouch, and climb in various environments be they hot, cold, dry, humid, etc.
-ability to work with an electrical control panel and various hand valves and other controls
-attention to detail
-good communication skills
-willing to work odd hours including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends as needed
-quick learner
