    About Us
    Tampa Bay Brewing Company is one of Florida’s oldest and largest independently owned Craft Breweries. Established in 1995 and only operating as a brewpub until 2015, TBBC has evolved into an industry leader on pace for 17,000 BBLs in 2019 while only distributing in Florida. TBBC is a dynamic, fast paced company that nurtures an environment where respect and creativity flourish. TBBC currently operates a 10bbl Brewpub in Ybor City, which acts as a no boundary creative facility, and a 30bbl Production Brewery in the Westchase area of Tampa. Live Florida, Brew Florida.
    We are currently looking for passionate and dedicated packaging lead to join our team and oversee packaging operations at our Westchase production facility.
    Role Profile
    Packaging Lead -TBBC Westchase is responsible for all packaging (cans and kegs) at the Production Facility. The Packaging Lead will work closely with Head Brewer, cellar/brewing and sales/distribution to ensure a seamless transition from Production to Point of Sale. They will lead and execute on team development, , specifications and processes with quality and safety being paramount while meeting production goals.
    Responsibilities
    • Oversee all packaging processes including keg filling and canning.
    • Oversee and ensure accuracy of orders going out to distributors.
    • Oversee training of all packaging personnel and monitor their work hours.
    • Ensure all beer is in the proper condition (i.e. carbonation level, temperature, etc.) prior to packaging.
    • Perform seam checks on canning line as well as checking and monitoring TPO and DO levels of final product.
    • Maintain a system of quality checks and balances to ensure the utmost quality and stability of the product.
    • Maintain excellence in customer service when fulfilling commitments to distributors, retailers, and our own in-house customers.
    • Maintain a high level of cleanliness and sanitation on the production floor. The Brewery shall always be in a tour ready condition.
    • Effectively manage a preventative maintenance schedule for all equipment and tooling.
    • Troubleshoot and make necessary repairs to filler, depalletizer, labeler and paktech machine.
    • Foster an environment where esprit de corps becomes the norm amongst the production team.
    • Maintain proper packaging production logs.
    • Assist head brewer with any projects or tasks.
    Education
    • Primary or post-secondary brewing specific education is an asset, especially packaging technology.
    Experience
    • At least 2 years of packaging experience in a production brewery.
    • Packaging lead or packaging manager experience within a brewery.
    • Experience running a Wild Goose canning line preferred.
    • Must be able to safely operate a forklift.
    • Experience with EKOS software a plus.

    Physical requirements
    • Position requires continuous standing, frequent walking, moderate to heavy lifting, moderate to heavy carrying, frequent bending and reaching, frequent climbing of stairs and ladders, and in-person communication.
    • Ability to lift 50lbs and occasionally move 165lbs
    • Working for long periods of time in a non-climate controlled Florida Brewery; however, the office has AC and a beer fridge!
