Position Title: Brewer’s Assistant
Reports to: Brewmaster/Upper Management
Summary: Seeking an experienced cellerman/brewer for part-time work as a Brewer’s Assistant in the Chattanooga, TN area. The position includes both hot side and cold side operations. Approx. 15-20 hours a week .
Basic Duties and Responsibilities
• Adhere to all safety procedures
• Maintain a clean and safe work space
• Diligence in record keeping and documentation
• Tracking batch data with QC/QA analytics
• Brew, cellar, and transfer beer according to SOP’s and scheduling
• Yeast propagations and fermentation management
• CIP processes
• Basic laboratory work
• Work as a cohesive and efficient team player
Qualification Requirements
• At least 1 year professional brewing experience
• Knowledge of all processes from grain to glass
• Proficiency in time management, record keeping
Working Conditions
• Lift 55 lbs. from the ground to shoulder
• Climb stairs, ramps, ladders
• Work in small and confined spaces
• Be able to stand on feet for extended periods of time
