  • Full-Time Production Assistant - Lamplighter Brewing Co.

    Lamplighter Brewing Co. in Cambridge, MA is searching for someone to join our team in cellar operations, packaging, and general production in early January.

    This full-time job covers a wide range of roles, and we are looking for someone who is willing to adapt to multiple positions and work with multiple team members. The ideal candidate is hard-working, motivated to learn, passionate about beer and the brewing industry, and a team player. The position is Monday through Friday.

    Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to;
    • Assisting with the packaging of finished beer (bottling / canning / kegging)
    • Working with warehouse team to maintain cleanliness and organization throughout facility
    • Assisting with draft line cleaning and maintenance
    • Keg washing
    • Receiving packaging and raw material deliveries
    • Preparing shipments and beer for pick-up
    • Assisting the Brewmaster, Head Brewer, Operations Manager, and Cellar Staff as necessary
    • Yeast propagation, tracking, and management
    • Sensory analysis of all products
    • Barrel management (cleaning / filling / tasting / emptying / blending)
    • Batch tracking and inventory management utilizing Ekos
    • Raw materials tracking and inventory management
    • General facility maintenance
    • Equipment preventative maintenance
    • Cellar management (CIP / dry-hopping / transfers / gravities)
    • Other duties as assigned

    Physical Requirements;
    • Lift 60 + lbs on a regular basis
    • Ability to work in hot / cold / wet environments that requiring kneeling, crawling, twisting, bending, pushing, and lifting.
    • Stand for the duration of an 8+ hour shift
    • Use of a ladder

    General Requirements;
    • Excellent troubleshooting and time management skills
    • Critical thinker with unwavering attention to details
    • Ability to work with little supervision required
    • Collaborative team player
    • Good verbal and written communication skills

    Recommended, but not required:
    • Experience working in a production facility
    • Forklift certification
    • Experience working with barrel-aged beers
    • Formal brewing education or college-level equivalent

    Compensation is based on experience. Benefits include health, dental, and lots of beer.
