Highlander Beer is seeking a part-time sales representative for the Bozeman/ Billings territories. We are a small but growing brewery looking for the right person to represent our brewery and brand in these markets. Our brewery is based in Missoula, MT, but we distribute to most of Montana. We have been brewing at our Missoula location for 5 years, and have seen steady growth since opening. In summer 2019 we started canning our beer, and are now in need of a representative in Bozeman and Billings. (www.highlanderbeer.com)
This position is part-time, with flexible hours, but some nights and weekends will be required. It will report to our Head of Sales and our GM. It is a very independent position, so we are looking for a responsible, self-starter, who is comfortable working independently.
Duties will include:
- Routine sales calls to on-premise and off-premise accounts to maintain current accounts
- Pursuing leads and opening new accounts for on-premise and off-premise sales
- Working closely and in cooperation with our distributors in both territories to reach agreed upon goals
- Being a brand ambassador for Highlander Beer in both markets
- Planning, hosting and attending events and festivals to promote our product
- Organizing and planning sales routes to include new leads and current accounts in both territories
- Weekly recaps of sales routes and account visits for GM and Head of Sales
- Average 20hrs per week
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience in the craft beer industry and knowledge of craft beer
- Previous sales experience preferred but not required
- Must live in Bozeman or Billings area
- Must have good driving record, and reliable transportation
- Self-motivated, and an unshakable positive attitude
- Must be able to work independently
- Must be organized and have strong communication skills
- Able to lift 30+ lbs
Compensation:
Hourly rate + commission (based on experience)
