    Trillium Brewing Company is an independent family-run craft brewery looking for an
    experienced Head Brewer to join our team! At Trillium, we believe in the intuitive beauty

    The Head Brewer is a full-time leadership position that will report to the Vice President
    of Supply Chain. This position is responsible for leading our Production crew, the
    oversight of the production of wort, cellar work, beer finishing, and packaging on a daily
    basis, as well as acting as a key contributor to the Brewery’s new beer and product
    development process.

    This position will be based out of Canton, Massachusetts but will have involvement in
    multiple locations.

    Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

    Production
    ● Lead a team in producing the highest quality beer in a safe and efficient manner
    ● Work closely with the Director of Quality Assurance and Innovation to ensure all
    production meets the strictest quality standards before release
    ● Build complex production schedules to meet sales demand
    ● Manage the production operations financial budgets
    ● Write, update, deliver, and uphold standard operating procedures for the department
    ● Manage sanitation of the facility and ensure clean, sanitary equipment and working
    environment
    ● Manage raw material inventories
    ● Analyze and report on all brewing operations and efficiencies
    ● Complete, enter, and maintain daily production records in OBeer
    ● Coordinate and manage repairs and maintenance on all brewing, cellar, and packaging
    equipment with the Senior Director of Supply Chain
    ● Proactively manage yeast health and beer fermentations
    ● Manage clean and wild barrel program
    ● Manage the pilot beer program, the Fort Point, and the Congress St brew houses
    including creating new and unique processes and beer recipes reflective of these spaces

    Leadership
    ● Lead, inspire, and educate employees to achieve their defined goals and results,
    consistently monitoring performance and creating development plans with the support of
    HR and executive team to improve execution
    ● Coordinate all aspects of safety with the EHS Coordinator in the brewhouse, cellar, and
    packaging areas
    ● Sustain optimal staffing levels in all areas to meet guest and production needs
    ● Ensure proper management of all shifts, which includes daily decision-making, staff
    support, scheduling, and planning while upholding standards, product quality, and
    cleanliness
    ● Inspire passionate team culture in support of consistent execution of Trillium’s goals

    Desired Qualifications

    Experience
    ● Minimum of 10 years of experience as a professional brewer
    ● Proven success in a leadership role managing 8 or more employees in a brewery setting
    ● Extensive experience and understanding of preventive maintenance, team motivation
    and management, ordering and inventory management, record keeping and data
    analysis.
    ● Extensive experience and understanding of the brewing process, sanitation, yeast health
    and fermentation and beer transfer and clarification.
    ● Experience with brewery quality assurance and quality control plans.
    ● Experience in the theories and production of mixed fermentation/wild beer styles.
    ● Formal brewing education preferred.
    ● Experience with OBeer a plus

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    ● A passion for craft beer!
    ● Formal brewing education preferred
    ● Advanced computer proficiency including MS Office Suite
    ● Process and results driven leader with demonstrated success managing and achieving
    operational and financial goals
    ● Ability to monitor performance and proactively propose necessary modifications to a plan
    ● Exceptional organizational skills, detail-oriented with process-oriented thinking
    ● Strong capacity to both lead and participate in cross-functional teams to define issues
    and agree on processes, strategies, and outcomes
    ● A self-motivated approach, with strong work ethic, requiring limited oversight
    ● Impeccable leadership and communication skills to a variety of audiences
    ● Innate desire to work as a team with a results driven approach to success
    ● Ability to lift 65 pounds and move 175 pounds regularly
    ● Ability to regularly stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb, work from heights, stoop, kneel,
    and crouch
    ● Ability to work in a loud, wet, cold, hot, indoor and outdoor environment frequently
