Kane Brewing Company is a fast growing and award-winning production brewery located on the coast of New Jersey in Ocean Township. We are looking for a full time Facilities Maintenance Technician to add to our growing team.
Responsibilities:
• Daily Monitoring of the facility’s equipment and utility systems to identify potential issues and report/confer with department head.
• Preventative and routine maintenance of brewing, mechanical, and material handling equipment
• Perform and/or assist with repairs of inoperable or malfunctioning equipment while minimizing production down time.
• Assist with installation of new equipment
• Accurately document, record, and update daily logs as they relate to maintenance and repair projects
• Assist with larger projects that fall under the department’s responsibilities
• Work safely; maintain good sanitation and good manufacturing practices.
• Occasional maintenance of building and grounds as needed
• Other miscellaneous projects around the facility
Qualifications:
• At least one year experience in:
o a trade such as plumbing, HVAC, electrical, welding etc.
o an equipment or automotive mechanic
o equipment installation or maintenance
o manufacturing
• Above average mechanical competency and understanding of tools and their safe use
• Vocational or technical school education/diploma
• Familiarity with typical warehouse/manufacturing equipment such as boilers, refrigeration, pumps and piping, and/or packaging equipment a plus
• Experience in the installation and repair of mechanical equipment preferred
• Demonstrated track record of success in prior positions
• Excellent mechanical troubleshooting ability
Must be able to:
• Lift 55 lbs and move 165 lbs occasionally
• Stand for 8-10 hours per day
• Operate a forklift and complex machinery
• Work in a non-temperature controlled environment, handling of hazardous materials
• Work confidently and comfortably on ladders, scissor lifts, or on equipment up to 25-30 feet off the ground (with proper PPE)
• Be flexible and shift priorities in a constantly changing, fast-paced work environment
• Perform basic computing skills (word processing, spreadsheets) competently
