    JOB SUMMARY:
    Communicates with current and prospective customers to provide technical services for enhancing operational efficiency and product quality while minimizing operational costs associated with chemicals, labor, and utilities (electricity, water, fuel, and wastewater). The engineering services and system surveys provided include sales of chemicals, enzymes, equipment, and services provided through Zee Loeffler.

    EDUCATION:
    Required: BS degree

    Preferred: BS degree or higher in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, Brewing Science, Food or Agricultural Science, Business Management/Marketing, or a related technical field.

    EXPERIENCE:
    Required: Five years of experience in the Brewing Industry, Chemical Industry (Chemical related to water treatment or Sanitation), Beverage/Dairy, Malting, Hops, Brewery Supplies or related industrial sales experience.

    Preferred: Five to seven years of experience working in: Brewery Operations, Chemical Sales and Service to Brewery/Beverage Industry. Brewery Maintenance/Engineering experience highly preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel highly preferred.

    POSITION REQUIREMENT(S): Specialized Skills
    Required:
    • Must possess strong customer service focus, social and interpersonal skills, active listening skills, and effective communication skills.
    • Must be able to excel in a fast paced environment and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
    • Ability to travel ≥75% of the time (mostly by car) to visit customers.
    • Ability to work nights occasionally to service or survey facilities after production hours
    • Knowledgable in Zee Company brewery products and their application in the brewery
    • Understand the brewing process and associated brewing equipment from brewhouse through cellar
    • Understand brewery sanitation process
    Preferred:
    • Strong critical thinking, persuasion, and comprehension skills.
    • Strong cechanical aptitude
    • Knowledge of the composition, structure, and properties of substances and of the chemical processes and transformations that they undergo.
    • This includes uses of chemicals and their interactions, danger signs, production techniques, and disposal methods.

    Essential Job Functions
    1. Effectively promote and sell process enzymes, sanitation, water treatment and wastewater treatment chemical products and services to potential customers
    2. Gather market data from internal and external sources
    3. Establishing new accounts, servicing existing accounts and obtaining orders by planning and organizing work and travel schedules to call on existing or potential customers
    4. Completes field reports covering water/wastewater treatment or sanitation concerns and employee safety which must be submitted to Zee Loeffler Management in a timely manner
    5. Proactively networking with key industry contacts to build long-lasting business relationships
    6. Monitor customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts
    7. Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms
    8. Emphasize product features based on analyses of customers' needs, and on technical knowledge of product capabilities and limitations
    9. Prepare sales contracts for orders obtained, and submit orders for processing
    10. Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service
    11. Maintain customer records
    12. Monitor customer chemical consumption to determine focus of sales efforts and appropriate stock levels
    13. Monitor ongoing service of the account including visits during all stages of operations; which will occasionally be after normal business hours
    14. Identify prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and craft brewer conferences
    15. Instruct customer engineering, utility, and sanitation personnel on proper chemical usage and provide training classes to the employees when necessary.
    16. Complete special projects upon requests, and other duties may be assigned
