  • Head Brewer - St. Louis Metro Area

Old Herald Brewery and Distillery is a combination brewery, distillery, and full service restaurant/taproom located in Collinsville, IL just outside St Louis.

We are passionate about making high quality products for a wide variety of audiences. Our beers cross a wide spectrum of tastes trying to satisfy both avid craft beer enthusiasts and customers newer to the scene. Most of the beer production is currently flowing through the taproom. We are looking to satisfy a few local accounts in the very near future. Aside from a few core established recipes there is plenty of room for creativity and continuous product development.

The distillery production is working to bring spirits in the direction that craft beer has been going by producing innovative, very high quality sipable spirits. The head brewer will also work closely with the owner/distiller on the overlap of the two sides of the business to create unique and tasty beverages.

    Position Summary

Great opportunity for an experienced brewer ready to exercise autonomy and leadership. The head brewer's primary role is to oversee and supervise all aspects of the brewpub’s day-to-day operations, including brewing, cellaring, packaging, maintenance, and organization.

The head brewer will perform all brewing and cellaring tasks as needed and will also teach and supervise other employees in the brewery in the future. It is a full-time, salaried position, with benefits. The head brewer will report to Old Herald Brewery and Distillery’s owner and will work in tandem with both the distillery and taproom employees.
