    Tumbled Rock Brewery and Kitchen located right outside of beautiful Devil’s Lake in Baraboo, Wi is looking for passionate, detail oriented, hardworking assistant brewer.

    Tumbled Rock Brewery is a brand-new facility, we opened our doors in August of 2019. We have a 15-barrel Crawford brewhouse, with 2 15BBL FVs, and 2 30BBL FVs. We have two buildings, the kitchen side features a wood fired pizza oven, cozy lounge with fireplace, and fully stocked bar. The taproom side has a private party room, the brewery, and fully stocked bar. In the middle we boast a big patio, with an Astroturf lawn and lots of yard games for the summer with two sunk-in fire pits. We feature our own beers, with flagship beers and rotating seasonals. We make traditional ales and lagers.

    We are looking to add an assistant brewer to our team. You will report to the head brewer, this is a part time hourly job (15-20 hours/week, with possible room to grow to full time.) Mainly Monday- Friday, 8-5 are typical operating hours. Some weekend duty may be needed. Pay is DOE.

    Ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, detail oriented, trustworthy, and someone who would like to remain on the Tumbled Rock team for a long while. Ideal candidate must be comfortable in working every aspect of the brewery.

    Primary Duties include:
    •Must have basic knowledge of brewing and brewing processes, brewing terminology, with a basic understanding of cellaring as well.
    •Responsible for wort production including but not limited to raw material handling, milling, mash/lauter operation, wort boiling, cooling, and CIP.
    •Beer transferring, and packaging in kegs and bottles.
    •Maintaining proper brewery cleanliness and sanitation.
    •Keg cleaning.
    •Vessel CIPs.
    •Following proper brewery SOPs.
    •Participating in events, such as beer festivals and tastings, and the occasional brewery tour.
    •Comfortable working with different chemicals and following proper chemical safety regulations.
    •Willing to work with head brewer through some collaboration.
    •All other tasks assigned by head brewer.

    Job Requirements:
    •1-2 years of brewing experience in a brewpub or production environment preferred, but not required. Warehouse and production work an added bonus. Head brewer will be willing to train the right person.
    •Must have a passion and respect for craft beer and the craft beer community.
    •High School Diploma or equivalent.
    •Ability to frequently reach, twist, stoop, crouch, stand and walk for 8-10-hour shifts. Must be able to lift up to 75lbs and maneuver kegs that can weight up to 180 lbs.
    •Must be able and willing to work a variable shift schedule that is dependent upon the operational needs of the Brewery which may require working extended shifts, holidays(unlikely) and weekends.
