General Summary:
WeldWerks Brewing is a fast growing, locally owned and operated craft brewery in historic downtown Greeley, Colorado. We execute our unique and original product line with the highest quality ingredients, a state-of-the-art brewing system, and the newest brewing practices. As a key part of our business, our production team are responsible for working with the head and lead brewer to assist in designing and executing a substantial amount of unique beers across a multitude of styles; as well as producing recurring styles with consistency. They must be able to meticulously follow sanitary and manufacturing practices and procedures as well as have a strong working knowledge of all production equipment.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Follow SOPs for green beer cellaring and wort production including:
Tank CIPs, SIPs, and passivations
Fermentation management
Dry hopping, fruit/adjunct additions
Operation of filter, centrifuge, and flash pasteurizer
Transfering finished beer to brite tanks
Carbonating beer to specification
Assist with creative processes
Fill and empty barrels
Strong understanding of brewing equipment and ability to troubleshoot and maintain
Maintain a safe and sanitary workspace; follow all company safety and quality procedures
Raw material receiving and inventory management
Perform in-process and post-packaging sensory evaluation and participate in sensory panels as needed
Create and improve upon existing SOPs
Maintain batch documentation and record keeping (Ekos, cellar travelers, etc.)
Assist with packaging duties as needed
Assist with taproom operations as needed (releases, special considerations)
Attend all required staff meetings and events

Skill and Knowledge:
Basic knowledge of and a passion for craft beer and the brewing industry
Strong verbal and written communication
Strong work ethic and can do attitude
Strong understanding of maintenance needs of production equipment
Personal Competencies:
Remain calm under pressure and when dealing with unexpected production issues
Be a strong and trusting team player
Maintain relationships with coworkers, vendors and other breweries
Basic problem solving skills
Excellent communication skills
Supervision:
Uses independent action in setting objectives and deciding how to proceed
Duties are given in the form of broad goals or areas of responsibility
Stay busy through slow periods
Use company applications to communicate and update other employees
Hours, Travel and Physical Requirements:
Work weekdays, weekends, early mornings/evenings and or overnights
Work in a standing position for long periods of time
Request time off two weeks in advance
Ability to lift up to 120 lbs
Ability to work in heat, cold and wet
Physically able and willing to drive a forklift with training
Able to work from elevated surfaces
