7 Hills Brewing Company is seeking an experienced brewer to oversee operations of the brewing department. This is a salaried position paying between $40,000 and $50,000 depending on experience, you will have one assistant to aid in completion of tasks. This position includes one week paid vacation and health and dental insurance.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years experience in the industry. You must be able to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift 50 pounds regularly. You must be able to maneuver 175 pounds and work in environments with extreme temperatures. Some skill requirements are good communication , computer literacy, a mechanical inclination, and being an approachable, accountable, collaborative individual.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Adhering to company Standard Operating Procedures
-Meeting with trade associations as needed
-Filtration of necessary beers with Pall lenticular filter
-Operate and maintain Meheen 12 oz six head bottling machine and labeler
-Attendance of select beer festivals
-Knowledge of TTB labeling guidelines and Iowa ABD laws
-Manage maintainence schedule of the production equipment
-Source, inventory, and manage raw materials
-Recipe development and cost analysis
-Provide guided tours as necessary
-Record keeping and QA/QC
-Knowledge of O.S.H.A. safety standards
-Coordinate sales and pick up/delivery with distributors
-Adhere to budget proposed by C.O.O.
-Manage staff development and scheduling
-Must have or be willing to obtain fork truck certification
