DIRECTOR OF SUPPLY CHAIN

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Director of Supply Chain is a developed leader who can manage, evaluate, and improve the complex processes involved in sourcing, negotiating, procurement, scheduling, inventory and other elements involved in Supply Chain. The Director of Supply Chain will have thorough relevant experience & a thorough understanding the needs of the industry and the business to ensure that all areas of Supply Chain are processed and maintained with the highest quality.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Assists in researching new suppliers
• Develop strategies to mitigate risk in the supply chain
• Responsible for overall Supplier Relationship Management to include but not limited to sourcing, evaluation and selection, negotiation, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement
• Locate and vet suitable suppliers to meet the needs of the business units
• Set and reinforce Zero Defects from our suppliers; address defect issues as needed.
• Collaborate with others on demand forecast and inventory planning process improvements
• Organize yearly quality/food safety meetings with all critical suppliers
• Lead the Production Scheduling Manager in scheduling an efficient internal production process
• Negotiate with vendors
• Take complex supply chain processes and manage them with a focus on quality and continuous improvement
• Procurement, ordering inventory, and fully understanding the needs of the business & avoiding out of stock materials
• create strategies by analyzing information and processes
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
• 7+ years of experience in a Supply Chain role & 2 years in purchasing
• Developed leadership and communication skills
• Candidates should be strong communicators who love to collaborate with others
• Ability to manage logistics of all aspects of supply chain, from product development to the shipment of finished items
• Highly self-motivated with strong solution focus and results - oriented work ethic
• Strong analytical, business process analysis and problem-solving capabilities
• Experience using SAP or an equivalent platform
