    Front Royal Brewing Company in Front Royal, VA is a full production brewery, taproom, restaurant and music venue. We are located in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley amidst some of the greatest outdoor assets in the country! Day hikers, thru-hikers, rafters, climbers, nature enthusiasts find themselves here after a great day of adventure. Local residents find a welcoming place to grab a burger and a beer while listening to some of the greatest live music in the area.

    FRB is currently expanding and looking for a Brewpub Manager to manage our Front of House: Taproom, Full Bar and Restaurant. This individual will be key in making the customer experience an awesome one! As a member of our leadership team, they will help evolve the vision and make it come to life through great customer service.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Ensure the Most Amazing and Differentiated Customer Experience Possible - Manage the end-to-end customer experience so that every customer feels seen, heard, cared for and has a great time at FRB. Infuse the experience with who we are as a unique company and community. Lead others to do the same. Be a customer advocate handling any complaints, questions or concerns from customers. Regularly greet and check-in on customers. Transfer your passion for and knowledge of great craft beer and food with staff and customers.

    Provide Great Leadership - Participate as a member of the leadership team in championing and evolving the strategy, planning goals and objectives, managing and monitoring performance. Manage a large staff through the use of positive reinforcement, modeling, coaching and feedback.

    Interview and Hire Staff - Attract, hire and maintain customer-oriented team members (hosts, servers, bartenders, food runners, etc.) that are committed to carrying out our mission and brand. Ensure the right level of seasonal staffing.

    Train and Develop Staff - Train staff on customer experience, service, cleanliness and compliance standards. work with staff over time to develop in the industry. Encourage cross-training in multiple roles and brewing and kitchen areas.

    Plan and Schedule Staff - Develop and communicate schedules to ensure the right level of staffing given the season, week, time of day, programming and planned events. Control labor costs within guidelines.

    Ensure Effective Operation of Facility - Ensure compliance to Health Department and ABC regulations and standards. Ensure cleanliness. Alert maintenance manager of any facility issues that need to be addressed. Be the primary point of contact regarding restaurant issues and concerns.

    Front of House Inventory - Maintain Bar inventory and ordering. Work with Executive Chef to manage restaurant inventory and ensure appropriate levels of restaurant supplies.

    Plan and Manage the Delivery of Brewpub Programming - Develop special programming and events to drive traffic and interest to FRB. Work with Marketing Manager and Executive Chef to ensure that FOH is knowledgeable and prepared to execute programming such as catered events, charity events, live music, beer events, trivia, food specials, beer releases, etc. Work with customers, vendors, bands etc. to provide direction, guidance and help execute a great event. Serve as "day-of" coordinator for events.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Knowledge of and experience in Craft Beer Industry to include the brewing process and profiles of various styles of craft beers.
    • Knowledge of and experience in bar tending and ABC regulations
    • Proven results as a customer advocate.
    • Knowledge and experience in the restaurant industry to include compliance standards.
    • Ability to plan and manage details.
    • Experience as a server and bartender is preferred.
    • 2+ years in the Industry with ServSafe Manager, MART, and Cicerone training preferred.
    • Ability to work key days/hours. (e.g., weekends, nights, holidays)
