Experienced Brewery Operations Manager required to join team at 6 year old
microbrewery on Cape Cod.
We are a self distributing brewery with a geographic reach limited by design
from Plymouth to Provincetown. We are on track to produce 4,000 bbls in
2010 up from 3,300 in 2009. We produce 3 beers year round and a variety of
seasonal and specialty beers. We distribute in kegs and growlers only. We
have a maximum capacity of 8000 bbls and currently have 2 brewers and an
assistant brewer.
We are looking for an Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of
production including:
~raw materials management,
~packaging materials management,
~production staff management and scheduling,
~managing order fullfillment,
~forecasting and scheduling, and
~general oversight of the production facility.
The position also includes collaborative planning and implementation of
facilities expansion, not limited to additional space, additional equipment,
and alternative packaging and filling scenarios, as well as oversight of
brewery operations record keeping, and continued development of a safety
program and a policies and procedures manual for production processes.
This position reports directly to the Brewmaster/President.
The successful candidate would be excited at the prospect of managing a
successful growing production operation in a HIGHLY SEASONAL environment.
While this is a hands-on position, in the perfect world, this position is
not a day-to-day brewing position. Strong technical and mechanical aptitude
is essential.
Pay is commensurate with experience.
