Refuge Brewery is looking for a cellar person/brewery assistant. We’re a rapidly growing brewery located in Temecula, CA.
The position consists of: Managing the fermentation processes, Keg washing, Packaging (keg and bottling), assisting the brewer with rigorous cleaning schedules and procedures including removal of spent grains, CIP of tanks & vessels, general housekeeping and raw material inventory.
Our Annual production for 2014 is trending to be: 2500 BBL’s.
Requirements:
• Must have a strong understanding of cellaring practices.
• Formal brewing education and/or a brewing experience in a commercial brewery/brewpub.
• Passion and dedication for brewing quality craft beer.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Must be a team player, and be able to work independently.
• Must be able to work in shifts, either first or second.
• Excellent problem solving/troubleshooting and mechanical ability.
• Be able to lift 50lb bags of grain, dragging, carrying, and manipulating of hoses, parts, pumps, buckets as needed
• Safely handle cleaning agents and other hazardous chemicals normally used in a brewery environment.
Salary is commensurate with experience.
