Cellar Person Job Description
Location – Smuttynose Brewing Co., Hampton, NH
Reports to: Head Brewer
Full Time, Hourly
Education: A Bachelor’s Degree and Previous Brewery Experience Preferred
We are currently looking to add a member to our cellar staff. The right candidate will be passionate about beer, able to work in a team environment, and willing to maintain a safe and efficient workplace. We currently operate a state of the art, brand new brewery in Hampton, NH. We’re hiring for 40 hours per week, but some overtime and weekend work will be necessary as needed. Hourly rate will depend on experience, but we are able to offer a generous benefit package.
This position would be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:
Tank Cleaning
Grain Handling
Yeast Handling
Transfers Through a Centrifuge
Record Keeping
Sampling CO2 Levels in Finished Beer
Adherence to All SOP’s and Safety Procedures
General Quality Measurements such as Gravity Readings, DO Measurement, etc.
