Controller/CFO - Fat Head's Brewing
Title: Controller/CFO
Location: Middleburg Heights, OH
Fat Head’s Production Brewery is poised for expansion into a state of the art facility. We are looking for a highly strategic Controller to oversee the financial activities of our organization. The Controller assumes a strategic role for Fat Head’s in the overall financial leadership of the company and directs financial activities, with the day-to-day responsibility for planning, procurement, investments, and implementation. Building investor relationships and partnerships with financial institutions will be critical to this role. The Controller may also have oversight and transacting for payroll, insurances, and 401K.
Some of the Essential Functions in this role include:
1. Advise management on short-term and long-term financial objectives, policies, and actions
2. Provide direction and assistance to other organizational units regarding accounting and budgeting policies and procedures and efficient control and utilization of financial resources
3. Analyze the financial details of past, present, and expected operations to identify development opportunities and areas where improvement is needed
4. Develop and maintain relationships with banking, insurance, and non-organizational accounting personnel to facilitate financial activities
5. Monitor financial activities and details, such as cash flow and reserve levels, to ensure that all legal and regulatory requirements are met
6. Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants
7. Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
8. Evaluate needs for procurement of funds and investment of surpluses and make appropriate recommendations
We are seeking a candidate that has at least 10 years of progressively responsible experience. The ideal candidate would be able to step into a CFO role as we continue to grow. This role requires Bachelor's or Master’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related degree. The role requires experience with accounting software and systems, SAP software experience, and experience with Orchestrated Beer is preferred. To be successful in this role we are looking for someone with a passion for the craft beer industry that is innovative, ambitious, and loyal. The person in this role will need a high degree of accuracy, precision and attention to detail with solid communication skills and ability to collaborate with others.
