Narrows Brewing Co. is hiring a Sales Representative to join our team in Tacoma, WA. We are looking for a motivated beer enthusiast to foster relationships with our distributors and our customers. Candidate must be able to work independently in support of team goals. If you have strong relationship building skills, an outgoing and upbeat personality, excellent written and oral communication skills, and a passion for great craft beer, then this is your chance to be a part of our team.
Description of Duties:
• Execute plan to meet sales goals
• Develop new business and grow existing accounts
• Track and monitor our account growth
• Plan and execute account visits and beer sampling with minimum number of account contacts per week
• Adhere to sales budgets
• Coordinate with Head Brewer regarding beer inventories and upcoming beers
• Analyze distributor reports to create work plan for account visits
• Facilitate distributor communication (inventory and orders)
• Schedule ride-alongs with distributor
• Participate in distributor’s sales meetings
• Schedule and represent Narrows Brewing at promotional events and tap takeovers
• Create bi-weekly newsletter to accounts with current beer list and upcoming beers and events
• Coordinate and represent Narrows Brewing for 6-8 beer festivals/year
• Transport kegs, tent, etc. to events/festivals
Most customer engagements such as tap takeovers and beer festivals take place in the afternoons and evenings, typically on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Therefore, willingness to work evenings and weekends is mandatory. Account visits may happen during daytime hours. Flexibility and organizational skills are crucial.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 2-3 years in local craft beer industry
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• 21 years of age at the time of application
• Valid driver’s license with no DUIs
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be self-motivated, organized, friendly and possess a positive attitude
• Must be able to safely lift and move kegs (55-175 lbs)
