Combustion Brewery & Taproom is a new brewery opening in Downtown Pickerington, Ohio. We are building a
strong team of professionals passionate about craft beer and the craft beer industry to help us carry out
our mission to deliver the freshest & highest quality craft beer to Pickerington; to offer excellent service;
and to provide a fun and clean environment for our staff and customers. The 150-seat Taproom will offer
a selection of 8-16 regularly rotating craft beers made in-house, a simple menu selection of fine and
thoughtfully selected foods to pair perfectly with our beers, and regular events (music, community events,
tours, etc.). We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Taproom Manager to oversee all
aspects of the Taproom.
Essential Duties:
● Collaborate with the Management Team to develop a training/orientation program that will ensure
a knowledgeable and well-prepared service staff.
● Manage Taproom Staff: hire (including our initial team), schedule, train, and supervise service
team. Ensure all taproom staff are performing their job responsibilities and meeting expectations.
● Hospitality: address customer concerns in a respectful manner; ensure a clean and well
maintained taproom by following service and sanitation standards; represent our product and
business to a high standard to our community.
● Oversee logistics: coordinate public and private events, live music, food trucks, organized tours,
etc.
● Collaborate with Brewery staff to maintain a diverse/full beer list and to coordinate a simple food
pairing menu.
● Maintain POS systems and perform other administrative tasks.
● Bartending as needed
● Keep and analyze budgets: track and maintain weekly bar inventory; produce sales reports;
implement cost control systems and work within a defined budget.

● Passionate and knowledgeable about craft beer and the craft beer industry.

● Highly organized and can manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
● Able to recruit and train a superb service team.
● Able to pass a background check.
● Personable and team oriented.
You have:
● 3 + years’ experience as a bar or restaurant manager.
● Excellent customer service skills.
● Trained service staff for a grand opening a plus.
● Passion for craft beer and the ability to discuss distinctive characteristics of our beers such as
flavor profiles, history of origin, etc.
● Superb verbal and written communication skills; you can communicate effectively with customers
and co-workers.
● Proficiency with computers and the Microsoft Office suite of products, primarily Word and Excel.
● Proficiency in cost control systems.
● ServSafe Food and Alcohol certification is a plus.
● Ability to lift/move 165lbs (full kegs) and you can stand for long periods of time.
● Experience with necessary preparations involved in the opening of a bar or restaurant a plus.
Job Title: Taproom Manager
● Reports to: President/CEO
● This position primarily works evenings, weekends & some holidays with potential for a variable
schedule.
● 10 days PTO annually
● Health Insurance stipend
● This position is full-time with salary to commensurate with experience.
● The position is slated to begin March 2017.
