We have an immediate opening for an experienced Shift Brewer at our
Production Brewery located in the lovely Portland neighborhood of
Louisville, Kentucky. We are adding cellar capacity and are looking for the
right candidate to join us in our irreverent excellence.
Our Production Brewery does not have a tasting room on site, but our
brewpub is just a couple miles up river inside Slugger Field in downtown
Louisville.
Our Brewery:
- 30bbl 3-vessel Sprinkman Brewhouse
- Andritz seperator
- Palmer 12/1 Canning Line / Ska Depalletizer
- 30k sq ft.
- 1 cat
- Semi - Automated 2 head keg washer
What we're looking for:
- Only candidates 1+ years of production or pub brewing will be considered.
- Ability to work as a team and work until the job is done.
- Participate in the creative process of the brewery, developing brands,
improving processes and reporting to the Head Brewer.
- This is an important role with a variety of responsibilities.
- Varied experiences will be heavily weighted, creative problem solving
is a must.
- For the right person, potential to participate in festivals and travel,
we are distributed in more than half of the US as well as a variety of
foreign markets
- Someone who wants to grow their role with the brewery as we grow
Specific responsibilities for this position include, but aren't limited to:
- Responsible for entire brewing process including: brewing, cellaring,
spinning, and packaging.
- Cleaning / sanitizing tanks and other equipment.
- Self deprecating humor is preferred, but general wittiness is also
acceptable
- Occasionally escort the department head to local wrestling matches
- Kegging and keg cleaning.
- Accurate record keeping both on paper and in Ekos
- Accurate pulling and building of orders
- Ability to read and write (for inventory purposes)
- Ability to operate both a forklift and a pallet jack
- Inventory Monitoring
Other somewhat important items:
- Physical strength to lift 55-75 lbs repeatedly.
- Possess a mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills
- Flexible work schedule- must be able to work some evenings and the
occasional Saturday/Sunday
- Ability to work in a warehouse

- Fair amount of outdoor activities within an hour drive of the city
- Centrally located, Chicago, Indianapolis, Cincinnati, Asheville,
