We are searching for a Head Brewer for our NH seacoast startup packaging brewpub. Our ideal candidate is innovative, quality-driven, and passionate about craft beer. Experience using Orchestrated Beer a must.
Willing to help with relocation for the right candidate.
General Overview:
-Oversee brewery procedures from recipe formulation through packaging
-Recipe formulation of flagship beers as well as seasonals and small batch offerings
-Opportunity to provide input on brewing system selection and lab equipment in buildout
-Opportunity to experiment with different brewing methods and styles to improve product quality over current offerings.
-Responsible for ingredient tracking & yeast management
-Responsible for quality control & record keeping
-Involved in company growth – ability to have a voice on company direction, development, training.
-Opportunity to represent the company at various festivals, events, and in the restaurant.
Desired Qualifications:
-Formal education in brewing and microbiology, 3+ years Head Brewer experience
-Undergraduate degree from 4-yr university
-Results-driven, team-oriented
-Experience using Orchestrated Beer
-Strong technical understanding of brewing process & sanitation
-Ability to keep excellent records and write SOPs
-Knowledge on operating and maintaining a bottling line and/or canning line
-Ability to implement and improve recipes, awards or recognition for prior recipes
-Flexible work schedule/lifestyle, strong work ethic, and positive attitude
-Education in quality control – both technical and sensory analysis
-Cicerone experience a plus

We currently have one brand open, and are planning out our sister brewpub. This is an opportunity to help us improve current processes and develop a brand new brand from the start.
