Head Brewer (full time) - Four Rivers Brewing Co Ltd.
FRBCo is growing and looking to add a brewhouse captain to its team. The head brewer will oversee and assist in the management of brewing operations. FRBCo will be home to a 15bbl brewhouse located in Bathurst, New Brunswick.
Qualifications
• Completion of a recognized brewing program. Combination of education and/or comparable brewing experience may be considered.
Responsibilities
• Execute/oversee production
• Assist in production scheduling, inventory tracking, and ordering of raw materials
• Oversee cellaring and packaging (kegs and cans)
• Ensure that shipments to retail locations and licensees respect order commitments
• Manage, schedule and ensure sanitation and cleaning is performed regularly, completely, using standard operating procedures
• Lead quality control/assurance tests for all products: microbiological testing, sensory evaluation, data interpretation and reporting
• Follow all safety procedures and communicate all required safety information to management (safety first)
• Prepared to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Appear at and/or participate in promotional/industry events (Yes, a beer fest or two)
• Prepared to follow continuous training and keep up with industry innovations
• Focus on supporting, building and promoting the Four Rivers brand
• It’s all about the customer experience, guys and gals
• Ability to work independently for long periods with limited supervision
Note: Position is physically demanding; requires lifting of heavy objects (in excess of 50 lbs), standing for long periods, etc.
FRBCo is slated to open its doors winter of 2017. This new brewery will feature a full lineup of high quality flagship craft beers, along with seasonal rotations and speciality beers. Our facility will also include a large tap room offering patrons a comfortable setting to indulge in the Four Rivers craft.
