Denver Pearl Brewing Company in Denver, CO is seeking an experienced craft brewer to fill the position for Head Brewer. This unique opportunity is available to the right person who has experience in all aspects of brewery operations from grain to glass including cask conditioned beer, barrel aging and creative beer design. We are a family run business and expect our brewer to be a hard working, honest and a personable team player. This position will offer the right candidate an opportunity to spread their wings and display their talents in one of Denver’s premier neighborhoods.
We will be accepting applications in February and conducting preliminary interviews in March for this position with early April as expected start date. Anticipated opening for Denver Pearl is May 15th. Out of town candidates must be willing to conduct final interview face to face and relocate without compensation if given the position. Candidates from Colorado and Greater Denver Area will receive preferred consideration.
Responsibilities:
Control of all brewing operations and quality control from grain to glass
Brew lagers, ales and creative designs that are technically sound, harmonious and vibrant
Maintain cask conditioning program and nitrogen poured beer
Clean and safe brewing practices including following SOP and CIP procedures
Management and Inventory Control of all brewing supplies, beer sold in-house and at outside accounts
Train brewers, tasting room staff and management on brewery operations, draft dispensing and beer styles
Assist in Sales and Delivery for outside accounts
Take pride of ownership in our brand, equipment and facility
Proper representation of brewery at all times, in all settings
Qualifications:
Must have at least 5 years professional brewing experience and 3 years experience as a Head Brewer in a Brewpub or Production Brewery
Proven experience in brewing numerous styles with passion and control
Strong communication and writing skills using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
Experience in filing Federal and State documents for taxes, branding and process
Ability to work independently and as a team player with a strong work ethic
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift 55 pounds regularly and 165 pounds on occasion
Ability to stand at least 8 hours per day
Ability to work in hot, cold and wet environments
