A new brewpub in China is looking for a Head of Brewery operations.
This is a nice opportunity for an experienced and creative professional who wants to play a critical role in building a new brewpub operation. Are you a team player looking for a new challenge in a new country? Our brewpub currently in the planning stage for an opening end 2014 is seeking an experienced brewer to join our team in China.
The initial role will be consultative as we need to size, select, design and assemble the production facility. The qualified applicant will then transition into a full-time master
brewer with the following responsibilities:
- Lead the creation and production of a range of new craft beers from grain to the glass with minimal supervision
- Recruit, train & supervise the production staff
- maintain and clean the production equipment
- maintain production batch records, order and manage all raw materials
- Participate in marketing and promotional activities
Your profile:
- Bachelor degree in Fermentation Sc. or related area is required.
- Over 5 years of brewing experience, including at least 2 years as a brewmaster and team manager.
- A successful experience with a brewery start-up is preferred but not a prerequisite.
